My Telephone Numbers Has Been Cloned By Unknown Criminals - Gov. Rotimi Amaechi

The Governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi, has denied having anything to do with the fake text messages circulating round the state to threaten voters not to come out and cast their vote.

According to a statement made by David Iyofor, the chief press secretary to the governor, He said unknown criminals have cloned telephone numbers of the Governor and they are using it to send fake message to people of the state not to come out and vote.

“This is to inform members of the public that the Telephone numbers of the Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has been cloned and the criminals who did the cloning are using his phone numbers to send out fake text messages to people not to come out and vote.

 Pls that text message is not from Gov Amaechi. The Governor’s position remains that Rivers voters should come out to vote today. People should disregard that fake text message” the statement reads.
