Former President Olusegun Obasanjo while speaking at the Global Education and Skills Forum in Dubai condemned the federal government over its inability to rescued the kidnapped school girls by Boko Haram in Chibok Local Government, Borno state.
Read his statement below
“If that had happened maybe the girls would have been rescued. “The government did not believe that there had been an abduction for some time.”
"It has become a regional issue and we have to deal with it regionally,” Obasanjo concluded.
Obasanjo said the government could have avoided the situation and saved the girl but didn’t recognise the threat posed by the terrorists.
